The Parent Leadership Team (PLT) is a parent-led group of dedicated Making Waves Academy parents and guardians who represent and advocate for the needs of our school community in partnership with the Contra Costa County Charter Coalition–most commonly known as 5C.

As informed and knowledgeable leaders, PLT members are collaborative, student-focused, and community-oriented. We serve as agents of change—committed to ensuring that all students have continued access to high-quality education. By supporting one another and working together, we act as valuable contributors to the success and well-being of our schools and families.
